Dr. Anjali Jain is a Consultant Grade‑II (Energy) at NITI Aayog, where she contributes to India’s long-term energy transition strategies, focusing on energy systems modelling, policy design, and sectoral decarbonization aligned with the Net-Zero 2070 vision. She serves as the Coordinator of the India Climate and Energy Modelling Forum (ICEMF)—a multi-stakeholder platform led by NITI Aayog that supports integrated climate-energy-economic modelling to inform national policy.

She holds a Ph.D. in Power System Planning, and has led and executed multiple projects in the areas of energy system modelling, power system planning and operations, renewable energy potential assessment, energy storage analysis, and demand and renewable energy forecasting. Her work bridges technical research with applied policy development, supporting both national planning and inter-ministerial coordination.

Dr. Jain also has a strong academic and research background, with over 25 publications in reputed national and international journals, covering topics such as energy transitions, power sector optimization, renewable integration, and climate policy.
