Venkatasailanathan Ramadesigan is a Professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay. He obtained his Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, USA, in 2013, and has since developed a strong research program in the area of electrochemical energy systems. His expertise spans physics-based modelling, simulation, and optimisation of advanced batteries, integration of renewable energy with storage, and design of scalable energy solutions for electric mobility and grid applications. His current research focuses on next-generation battery technologies, sustainable recycling and resource recovery, and systems-level pathways for realising net-zero energy transitions. He has published extensively in leading journals and actively collaborates with academia and industry to address the scientific and technological challenges of clean and sustainable energy.
